Quick Fix Spray Coating is perfect for areas like stairs, ladders, boat decks and running boards. This long lasting slip-resistant coating is safe for in-home use, and has a clear epoxy coating that won’t modify the color of your surface. Quick Fix Spray is a coating that you can spray on just about anything and it lasts up to 5 years, depending on the amount of traffic.

The product is made of a clear sealer, with extremely small plastic pebbles. It has just enough grip for wet feet or shoes, but is gentle enough that it will not tear up the bottom of your socks if used in your home (such as on steps). Once it wears off simply clean and re-spray Quick Fix Spray. It can be used on most surfaces, such as concrete, vinyl tile, metal and wood, but should not be used on the bottom of bathtubs, showers, or other areas that may have standing water.

NOTE: When cleaning with a mop you will have to work it a bit more aggressively to get the new rougher texture clean.
How To Use
  • NOTE: The most important step for surface preparation is to be sure that the surface is clean and dry. The surface should appear dull or matte. If applying over a previously painted surface, test paint for compatibility in an inconspicuous area. No matter what surface you are covering you must perform a test area to ensure correct adhesion and compatibility, before coating the entire area.

PAINTING TIPS: Shake can for 2 minutes after ball begins to rattle. Shake for 10 seconds after each minute of use. Spray 6-8” away from surface in sweeping motion. To avoid runs and drips, apply in several thin coats. Drying time: Dries to the touch in 30 minutes. Can be handled in 2-3 hours. Apply additional coats within 2 hours, or after 48 hours (not in-between).

The surface must be cleaned and scrubbed well using rubbing alcohol. The surface must be free of all oils, grease, dirt, and wax in order to properly adhere. Tile is designed to be as least porous as possible and to resist everything it can. As a result, coatings such as Quick Fix Spray may not adhere without first being “etched” using our etching treatment to open up pores on the tile. If your tile has a “matte finish” or has a texture to it then you should be okay. We recommend you perform a test area on a single tile to confirm adhesion before coating the whole floor. If the coating scrapes off easily, then you may want to use our etching treatment before application.

WOOD OTHER THAN WOOD FLOORS: Lightly sand bare wood with medium to fine grain sandpaper, then remove dust with a clean damp rag. If previously painted, strip off paint to bare wood. If previously stained, make sure the Urethane will penetrate before using. Splash a few drops of water on the surface, if the water penetrates, the Urethane will too. If not, you may have to sand the surface first. Surface should be clean, dull and dry before applying.

METAL: Remove loose rust with a wire brush, then use sandpaper or chemical rust remover. Remove oil with a degreaser or denatured alcohol, especially on new metal. Lightly sand glossy surfaces if previously painted and remove dust with a damp rag.

Clean surface using petroleum based product such as xylene, paint thinner, mineral spirits or naphtha. If maximum adhesion is required, lightly sand using fine grit sand paper.

The surface must be cleaned and scrubbed well using rubbing alcohol and a hard-back sponge. The surface must be free of all oils, grease, dirt, and wax in order to properly adhere. If maximum adhesion is required lightly sand using 800 grit or higher sand paper. Sanding your tiles will alter the surface permanently, so be sure to do a test area first.

The surface should be clean, completely dry, and free of mold. Smooth concrete and concrete that is newer than 6 months old must first be “acid etched” using muriatic acid. Concrete must first be aged 3 months or more before applying. Do not apply the product if it has rained in the previous 3 days as it takes 3 days for rainwater to completely evaporate from concrete.

This is such an easy to use product, just spray it down. It does have a lot of traction, however is does smell quite bad. The odor goes away after a few hours but bad up front.
